We are delighted to announce that GoWeb3D Experiences was awarded “Most Innovative Education Product or Service” at the 8th annual Ed Tech Business Forum, sponsored by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) on 3 December 2008 in New York City.
GoWeb3D Experiences develops private, thematic 3D environments on the web to transport students to places “far away, long ago, or impossible to reach” for real and engaging learning. GoWeb3D Experiences’ prototype environment, the Qutab Minar Complex of Delhi, India, invites students to explore the ancient ruins and learn about their rich history, unique architecture and metallurgy, the political and economic landscape of India, and even Indian culture and pastimes. Students can explore alone or together as a class. Each GoWeb3D Experiences product will be integrated with rich multimedia content, such as articles, reports, audio, and video. GoWeb3D Experiences is planning to offer a monthly subscription service for schools and libraries in 2009. It will also develop custom virtual environments for book publishers, media partners, and institutions wishing to extend their existing content into web3D. GoWeb3D Experiences is just one of GoWeb3D's solutions. Visitors to your web or intranet site can now click on a link, enter a 3D virtual space, see each other and interact by voice and text. The best part -- no special software or plug-in is required. From lower priced, pre-built offices, conference rooms, classrooms, exhibit halls and retail shops to fully customized and branded business facilities and functional 3D art, GoWeb3D has a solution for every purpose and budget. GoWeb3D consults on, designs and deploys virtual reality web-places where you can work, learn, train, shop or play with others, as if in person. Travel becomes optional and 'click, read, and watch' is 'click, enter, and get together.'
